Client access is customer-scoped. A client seat can belong to one or more customers, but every role, project grant, module permission, and whiteboard link permission is evaluated for the selected customer.

Client roles

Manage a client seat

1

Open Admin → Clients

Select the customer and find the person whose access you want to change.
2

Choose the customer role

Set Client Admin, Client Editor, or Client Viewer. Editing and view-only behavior update with the selected role.
3

Review projects and modules

Choose all projects or selected projects for that customer, then confirm which modules the seat can open.
4

Approve whiteboard links separately

Turn on Can create view-only links only when this Client Admin or Client Editor should share eligible customer boards with one-off external viewers.
Can create view-only links never creates an editable public link. It does not permit inviting a Guest Editor, changing Who can share, moving a board, or granting access to another customer.

Client Admin boundary

A Client Admin can manage client seats only for their exact customer. They cannot:
  • grant another customer;
  • promote someone into the internal team or organization administration;
  • create or manage Guest access through People with access;
  • change a whiteboard’s Who can share policy;
  • move, delete, migrate, or roll back a board.
On an eligible customer board, the Client Admin can see only the current customer’s seats and can manage Customer-wide board access. Every permission change is enforced again by the backend and recorded in Admin → Audit Log.

Sharing outside Bluplai

For ongoing named collaboration, an authorized board manager should invite a Guest Editor, Guest Commenter, or Guest Viewer. For a one-off review, use a Public Visitor link. See Whiteboard collaboration and sharing for both workflows.

Whiteboard sharing

Invite named guests or create a revocable view-only link.
